Job Title: Multi Skilled Carpenter Fire Safety Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled carpenter to join our fire safety team. As a multi-skilled carpenter, you will be responsible for carrying out essential repairs, maintenance, installations, and remedial fire safety work across our properties. Your primary role will be to advise on improvements and techniques, while also collaborating closely with customers, team members, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

* Work to approved installation guides and techniques, undertaking fire door/door set installations and undertaking remedial works to existing doors.
* Perform on-site self-assessments of work completed daily to deliver a high-end product.
* Deliver technical support and work with, develop, and monitor apprentices within the team.
* Ensure strict compliance with company and legislative requirements.

Requirements:

* NVQ level 2 qualification or equivalent in carpentry and joinery.
* Experience in firestopping and compartmentalisation.
* Fire door inspection scheme (FDIS) qualification is desirable.
* Knowledge of industry best practice to an intermediate/advanced level and experienced in how to use this knowledge to ensure high standards and safe practices.
* Knowledge of Health & Safety and safe practices.
* Experience working in occupied homes.
* Hold a full and valid driving licence.
