Skilled Carpenter for Fire Safety Team

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled carpenter to join our fire safety team at Selwood Housing. As a multi-skilled carpenter, you will be responsible for carrying out essential repairs, maintenance, installations, and remedial fire safety work across our properties.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake fire door/door set installations and remedial works to existing doors
- Perform on-site self-assessments of work completed daily to deliver a high-end product
- Deliver technical support and work with, develop, and monitor apprentices within the team
- Ensure strict compliance with company and legislative requirements
Requirements
- NVQ level 2 qualification or equivalent in carpentry and joinery
- Experience in firestopping and compartmentalisation
- Fire door inspection scheme (FDIS) qualification is desirable
- Knowledge of industry best practice to an intermediate/advanced level and experienced in how to use this knowledge to ensure high standards and safe practices
