Scope of the Role

  • To ensure outstanding levels of care are provided by monitoring and improving the clinical expertise of all clinical staff within the home.
  • To facilitate learning and development in line with the core values and values framework of the service.

Key Responsibilities

  • To support mandatory training function across Centres by allocating staff for daily sessions, maintaining accurate training records, and encouraging training attendance.
  • To provide safe and competent training to facilitate the transition of staff development from Carer to Senior Healthcare Assistant.
  • To work with the Director of Clinical Services and L&D Manager to review, develop, and implement competency documents.
  • To ensure clinical staff are trained, skilled, and competent to provide high-quality care.

Requirements

  • Safe and competent patient care
  • Understanding of, or previous experience assessing the Care Certificate
  • Effective communication skills (writing and verbal)
  • Excellent record keeping, auditing, and evaluation of own practice
