Head of Principal Design Opportunity

Brandon James is seeking a highly experienced Head of Principal Design to lead the establishment and growth of our Building Safety Act (BSA) Principal Design capability.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and leading the BSA Principal Design team, ensuring compliance with the Building Safety Act and delivering excellence in CDM services. You will work closely with key stakeholders, providing strategic guidance, technical support, and leadership to ensure the effective delivery of Principal Design services across multiple sectors.

This is a unique opportunity to join a thriving consultancy and work on a variety of high-profile projects already secured due to the high demand from our existing client base.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and lead the BSA Principal Design team, ensuring compliance with the Building Safety Act.
  • Deliver excellence in CDM services, working closely with key stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic guidance, technical support, and leadership to ensure effective delivery of Principal Design services.
  • Develop the team, fostering a culture of innovation and promoting best practices across all projects.
  • Ensure the team has the necessary skills and expertise to deliver high-quality services.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of services.
Requirements
  • Proven track record of delivering projects under the Building Safety Act (BSA).
  • Strong leadership skills and experience in setting up and managing a Principal Design team.
  • Relevant qualifications such as NEBOSH Construction, APS, or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
