Dementia Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dementia Adviser to join our team at Alzheimer's Society. As a Dementia Adviser, you will play a vital role in providing personalized support, guidance, and information to people living with dementia and their carers.
Key Responsibilities- Support people affected by dementia, families, and carers to access vital services and resources.
- Improve people's sense of wellbeing, enabling them to have more control over their lives.
- Assist with the identification of needs, providing information and access to relevant services.
- Promote our amazing service and build relationships with a range of health and social care professionals.
- Ability and interest in supporting people to maintain their independence, improve their sense of wellbeing, and help them take more control of their lives.
- Understanding of dementia and the needs of those living with dementia and their carers would be an advantage.
- Experience with communicating with a wide range of people, adapting your approach to ensure understanding at all levels.
- Able to network effectively and collaborate with other professionals to achieve a positive outcome for people.
- Good IT skills, experience working with databases and virtual meeting software.
- The ability to travel across local areas independently when required.
