Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a forklift to move, stack, and organize large bags and other materials within the yard.
  • Load and unload trucks, handling materials with care to prevent damage.
  • Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or accidents during transport.
  • Perform daily inspections of the forklift to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Report any mechanical issues or needed repairs to the maintenance team.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Keep the yard organized by arranging materials in designated areas.
  • Manually move or adjust bags and other materials as needed.
  • Collaborate with other yard staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Requirements
  • Experience as a forklift driver.
  • Valid qualification.
  • A positive can-do attitude.
  • Ability to work within the yard and operate forklifts.
  • Happy to work on own initiative and within a team.
