About the Role:
Polytec Personnel Ltd is looking for a talented Facilities Maintenance Professional to join their Estates and Facilities team in Cambridge. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation of electrical and mechanical systems within the building.

This role involves a range of tasks, including planned and preventive maintenance, reactive maintenance, and overseeing external service providers and contractors.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical or mechanical engineering, with experience of working in a complex building environment. They will also possess excellent problem-solving skills and be able to work effectively under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake regular maintenance checks on electrical and mechanical systems
- Identify and diagnose faults, taking prompt action to resolve these issues
- Collaborate with end-users to plan maintenance works and project activities
- Supervise external contractors and service providers as required

Requirements:
- Recognised electrical or mechanical apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications
- Full UK driving license
- Experience of working in a similar building environment
- Strong knowledge of engineering services and building maintenance practices
- Ability to work safely and mitigate risks associated with manual handling and equipment use

What We Offer:
- Salary: £29,500 - £39,000 per annum
- 40 days annual leave (including bank holidays)
