Job Description

Brampton Manor Academy is a highly successful 11-18 school seeking a skilled and experienced Exams and Data Manager to join its operations team.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in managing examinations, data, and staff. The successful person will be responsible for ensuring the smooth administration of all external examinations, including organizing sittings, booking venues, and resolving clashes. They will also oversee the effective use of data to inform senior leadership decisions, create reports, and track student progress.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Data Management: Develop and maintain accurate records of student data, including census returns and reporting to the Department for Education.
  2. Examinations: Ensure compliance with exam board regulations, organize examination entries, manage receipt of results, and distribute them to students.
  3. Communication: Provide relevant information to candidates, staff, and management, and communicate effectively with examination boards.
  4. Finance: Oversee the examinations budget, collect entry fees from students, and authorize invoices for charges raised.
  5. Development: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of examination systems, regulations, and policies.
  6. Invigilation: Recruit, train, and monitor invigilators for each examination session.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Significant experience as an exams officer or in a similar role.
  • Experience working with complex data and management information systems.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in using software packages and databases, including SIMS and SISRA.
  • Knowledge of relevant policies, codes of practice, and legislation, including Data Protection.

Salary: £42,324 per annum (pro-rata).
