Job Summary

Main Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Chef in creating menus that cater to the needs of our residents
  • Help manage the kitchen in the Head Chef's absence, ensuring smooth operations and high standards
  • Work with fresh produce to deliver high-quality, wholesome dishes that meet the expectations of our residents
  • Contribute to creating a warm, efficient, and fun environment in the kitchen
  • Work within budget, complete regular audits, and manage stock control
  • Assist in leading and motivating a team of kitchen staff

Person Specification
  • City & Guilds/NVQ/SVQ or equivalent qualification
  • Experience in helping lead and inspire a team
  • Good understanding of nutrition and experience of working with fresh seasonal food
  • Ability to create a warm and welcoming environment within the home
  • Good understanding of HACCP
