About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Anaesthetist to join our team at James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant Anaesthetist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality anaesthetic care to patients undergoing surgery, as well as contributing to the development and implementation of anaesthetic services within the trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide anaesthetic services to a variety of surgical specialties, including general surgery, orthopaedics, and emergency surgery.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of anaesthetic services, including the creation of anaesthetic protocols and guidelines.
  • Contribute to the education and training of junior anaesthetists and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in clinical governance and quality improvement initiatives within the trust.
  • Develop and maintain expertise in anaesthesia, including staying up-to-date with the latest research and developments in the field.
