Job Title: Materials Controller

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Materials Controller to join our team at Service Care Solutions Ltd. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient management of materials and supplies.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Liaise with internal teams to coordinate order requirements and delivery schedules.
  2. Support cost-saving initiatives by managing supplier relationships and identifying opportunities for price reductions.
  3. Resolve any discrepancies related to orders, pricing, or delivery times.
  4. Communicate effectively with suppliers to obtain part numbers, pricing details, and warranty information.
  5. Maintain and update supplier records to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
  6. Track and amend orders as needed, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  7. Address potential shortages, missed deliveries, and any other supply chain issues.
  8. Review overdue orders and notify relevant parties of significant supplier delays.
  9. Carry out any associated administrative tasks to support the purchasing and materials management functions.
Requirements:
  1. Previous experience in a similar Materials Controller, Supply Chain role or Housing repairs.
  2. Strong organisational and communication skills, with an ability to manage multiple tasks.
  3. Proficient in using supply chain and procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  4. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  5. Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external suppliers.
  6. Experience in cost-saving initiatives and negotiating with suppliers is a plus.
