Job Title: Maintenance Team Leader

As a key member of our Critical Facilities Maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data centers. Your primary focus will be on delivering exceptional service to our clients, while maintaining the highest standards of operational performance and efficiency.

You will lead a team of shift engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure that all tasks are completed to the highest standard. This will include managing training matrices, ensuring planned absences are covered, and conducting scenario drills. You will also provide technical support and leadership across the shift, responding to incidents and working closely with other shift leads to ensure seamless handovers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and control manpower and resources to ensure effective and efficient delivery of planned and reactive work
  • Motivate and engage your team to drive a high-performance work environment
  • Proactively manage individual and team performance by setting objectives and regularly reviewing progress
  • Work closely with the Critical Facilities Maintenance Manager to ensure services are delivered in accordance with best practice processes and procedures
  • First line escalation for incidents and managing ticketing queues
  • Manage specialist sub-contractors on site, ensuring compliance with NTT rules and regulations
  • Administer sub-contractor work approvals and ensure safe operation while repair or service is carried out

Requirements:

  • Commitment to delivering excellent customer service
  • Full driving license valid for use in the UK
  • Ability to undergo full security checks to BS7858:2019
  • Experience in facilities, operations, or engineering in a data center critical environment
  • Working knowledge and understanding of engineering operations within mission-critical environments
  • Ability to present complex technical problems and resolution options in a clear and concise manner
  • Comprehensive mechanical engineering understanding and experience with LV switching and fault finding complex M&E systems
