The Role

As a Senior Residential Care Professional, you will play a vital role in fostering a safe and nurturing environment where young individuals can thrive. You will collaborate with a dedicated team to advocate for the positive development of each child, addressing their unique needs and supporting their growth.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the team to create a supportive and therapeutic environment for children.
  • Assist the Service Manager in ensuring the smooth daily operation of the residential care facility.
  • Lead a team of support workers in providing high-quality care, implementing individualized care plans, and addressing the diverse needs of each child.
  • Maintain comprehensive records, including event logs, progress reports, and care plans, ensuring accurate documentation of all activities and interventions.
  • Serve as a positive role model for both colleagues and children, demonstrating empathy, patience, and a commitment to their well-being.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 12 months experience working in a child-centered, therapeutic environment.
  • Level 3 qualification in Caring for Children and Young People (or equivalent).
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Flexibility to work long day shifts, weekends, and sleep-ins.
  • Right to work in the UK.

Preferred Qualifications

  • More than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Additional qualifications in child care or therapeutic support.
