Job Description

The successful candidate will be a highly skilled Control Systems Engineer with expertise in specifying and designing control systems for various applications in process factories. They will possess the ability to produce high-quality written specifications and reports.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with subcontractors in a multinational organization, supervising the provision of design information by subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with assessment standards such as UKCA, CE, and UL.

In this role, you will work on a range of projects, including production of detailed technical specifications, generation of specifications and logic simulation programs for control system designs, and specification of control system hardware.

A key responsibility will be to liaise with the Section Head and other specialist engineers within the section to understand engineering requirements, ensuring the satisfactory delivery of work. You will also be required to present information for technical reviews and customer-facing activities such as presentation of design information and demonstration of equipment or software at ETC or customer premises.

A good quality degree in electrical or electronic engineering or a related discipline is essential, along with practical experience of equipment testing and a high level of computer literacy. Fluency in English is mandatory, and an ability to speak French or German would be an advantage.

Estimated Salary: £55,000 - £75,000 per annum
