About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Category Manager to join our team at Michael Page Procurement & Supply Chain. As a Category Manager, you will be responsible for leading and delivering categories Gift Guide pages, managing relationships with suppliers and internal teams, and ensuring the smooth operation of gift card systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Gift Card Management
- Responsible for the in-store, online, gift mall, and multi-redemption cards, including all stock management and ordering processes to ensure stores have access to stock at all times.
- Build and maintain relationships with both external suppliers and internal teams.
- Expert in gift card systems and processes, ensuring seamless integration between in-store and online platforms.
- Category Leadership
- Lead supply/allocation process for stores, ensuring timely delivery of products.
- Requesting and managing POs to ensure suppliers get paid in a timely manner.
- Support managers to deliver sales, strategy, and innovation within the category.
- Relationship Management
- Day-to-day contact for any gift card queries from Stores, Retail ops, IT, loss prevention, finance, and external partners.
- Work closely and manage relationships with large 3rd party partners to help deliver B2C, B2B, and gift mall sales.
- Category Development
- Be responsible for leading and delivering categories Gift Guide pages.
- Identify new opportunities and efficiencies for the category, driving business growth and improvement.
- Communication and Collaboration
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work at all levels.
- High-level communication at any level is essential for the role, as internal and external relationships are key to success.
- Time Management and Prioritization
- Skilled professional able to work under pressure to deliver sales/profit targets to budget.
- Time management, prioritization, and ability to react quickly to situations.
Requirements
- Experience in Category or client relationship roles.
- Knowledge of the Gift Card industry preferred but not essential.
- Networking and relationship skills.
- Confident in presenting and leading meetings.
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
