About This Role

We are seeking a skilled IT Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining robust, secure, and scalable IT infrastructure systems that support our business operations.

Job Description

This role requires deep technical expertise in areas such as networking, server management, virtualisation, cloud platforms, and security. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, provide guidance and mentorship to the service desk team, and play a key role in infrastructure-related projects and strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and maintain the group's network, server, voice & data Infrastructure to ensure it is fit for purpose.
  • Provide excellent customer experience by understanding their needs and translating them into technical solutions.
  • Manage customer/project requirements within agreed deliverables and budget, ensuring effective transition from project closure to operational support.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and standards for infrastructure architecture.
  • Take ownership for ensuring all user requests and incidents are logged correctly and resolved according to best practice and agreed service levels.

Requirements
  • Computer literate with experience of using IT systems including MS Office 365 programs regularly in a business environment.
  • Ability to explain technical issues clearly and simply to non-technical people.
  • Previous experience in an IT infrastructure role preferred.
  • Experience of service management ticket-based systems.
  • Experience of 1st and 2nd line support.
  • Understanding of IP and networking.
  • Microsoft Certified Professional accreditations.

Salary Information

We offer a competitive salary of up to £45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
