Trainee Field Engineer (Water Industry) Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Trainee Field Engineer (Water Industry). As a Trainee Field Engineer, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining monitoring equipment and repairing and maintaining valves on the clean water network in and around your region.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Driving from site to site and working outside in all weather conditions
  2. Lifting, carrying and moving equipment and chamber covers
  3. Entry into and working within confined spaces
  4. Installing and maintaining a variety of mechanical and electrical instrumentation
Requirements
  1. Full driving licence for manual gears is essential
  2. No prior sector experience is necessary as all training will be provided for the role
  3. Previous electrical or mechanical experience of any nature an advantage
  4. Previous experience as a field engineer is useful
  5. Relevant academic qualifications an advantage e.g. BTEC Engineering or BTEC Electrical
  6. You must have a strong work ethic and a desire to learn quickly during training
  7. You will be interacting with customers/clients on a daily basis so excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential
  8. Flexibility to accommodate business needs
What We Offer
  1. A starting salary of £26,400pa (consisting of salary and area weighting)
  2. Salaries are then increased every 6 months during training leading to £30,800pa
  3. Salaries will then continue to rise based on progression and performance
  4. A fully expensed company vehicle including a fuel card
  5. Full training and certifications are provided as part of the role
  6. Excellent prospects in a vital Industry
  7. All necessary tools, uniforms and equipment will be provided
  8. 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  9. Mobile Phone and Laptop
  10. Personal Pension Scheme
