Trainee Field Engineer (Water Industry) Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Trainee Field Engineer (Water Industry). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining monitoring equipment and repairing and maintaining valves on the clean water network in and around your region.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Install and maintain monitoring equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  2. Repair and maintain valves on the clean water network to prevent leaks and ensure water quality.
  3. Work in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  4. Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives.
  5. Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  1. Full driving license for manual gears is essential.
  2. No prior sector experience is necessary as all training will be provided for the role.
  3. Previous electrical or mechanical experience of any nature is an advantage.
  4. Previous experience as a field engineer is useful.
  5. Relevant academic qualifications are an advantage, e.g. BTEC Engineering or BTEC Electrical.
  6. Strong work ethic and a desire to learn quickly during training.
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  8. Flexibility to accommodate business needs.
