Academic Instructor in Political Theory

The Department of Political Science at UCL invites applications for a fixed-term Associate Lecturer (Teaching) in Political Theory. The successful candidate will deliver a single module in Term 2 of the 2024-25 academic year, including lecture and seminar teaching, student experience and support activity, and personal tutoring.
The postholder will be responsible for first and second marking assignments and holding office hours each week. This is a leave cover position, running from 1 January 2025 to 30 June 2025, with a salary of grade 7 (£46,546 - £51,610 inclusive of London Allowance).
Key Responsibilities- Deliver a single module in Political Theory in Term 2
- Lecture and seminar teaching
- Student experience and support activity
- Personal tutoring
- First and second marking assignments
- Holding office hours each week
- PhD in Political Science or related subject
- Excellent knowledge of academic literature and methods relevant to teaching the content of the described module
- Experience in teaching relevant subjects at the undergraduate or postgraduate taught level (desirable)
