Job Title: Transport Operations Manager

Company Overview:

We are a global logistics organisation, and we are looking for a Transport Operations Manager to join our site in Portbury. Our company provides a wide range of services to meet the diverse needs of our clients.

Salary:

The estimated salary for this role is £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description:

As a Transport Operations Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of drivers, porters, and administrative staff to ensure the transport operation is run efficiently and effectively. Your primary focus will be on managing, directing, and monitoring the transport operations and overall performance of the delivery teams to increase efficiency and maximise service and performance.

Some of your key responsibilities will include route planning, resource allocation and management/driver supervision, effective communication and support of the delivery teams, maintaining morale of the delivery teams through engagement and carrying out 1-2-1's with core employees, and supporting the warehouse department with any transport related issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need experience and understanding of logistics supply chain, movement of vehicles and associated activities and compliance, relevant driving legislation including tachograph policies, driving hours and the road Traffic Act, line management experience, and the ability to use IT/technology.
