Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Healthcare Professional to join our team as a Disability Assessor. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience and be able to demonstrate a broad clinical knowledge. As a Disability Assessor, you will play a crucial role in interviewing claimants to understand the challenges they face and assessing how their disability/condition/illness impacts their functional ability on daily activities.

About the Role

This is a permanent full-time position, working 37.5 hours per week. You will be required to complete thorough assessments and examinations via telephone, video call, or face-to-face means to create accurate and concise reports. The ideal candidate will have proven experience of working within a medical background and be able to provide positive experiences for claimants and colleagues, meeting quality and productivity targets.

Requirements

The following qualifications are essential:

  • A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a qualified healthcare professional (listed below)
  • An ability to demonstrate a broad clinical knowledge
  • Previous experience in using computer software including Microsoft Office
Essential Qualifications

Nurses:

  • Qualified Nurse RGN, or dual qualified RMN/RNLD
  • Member of the Royal College of Nursing (RCN)
Physios/OTs:
  • Qualified Chartered Physiotherapist or Qualified Occupational Therapist
  • Member of the UK Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC)
  • Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP) or College of OT's (COT)
