We are seeking a highly skilled Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Hays Engineering. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance on health and safety matters, ensuring compliance with all applicable legislation and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on, visible leadership of the health and safety agenda to drive ownership and accountability for health, safety, and wellbeing policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement health and safety strategies and action plans to ensure health and safety performance improvement.
- Lead the development and implementation of health and safety management systems in-line with accredited ISO standards.
- Audit, analyze, and report health, safety, and wellbeing performance to internal and external stakeholders and regulatory bodies as required.
- Assist with all forms of hazard identification and risk control programmes to identify, assess, and control occupational health and safety risks.
Requirements
- Proven track record in health and safety leadership with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
- NEBOSH qualification, ideally to the equivalent of NEBOSH Diploma/NVQ4 level (in health and safety).
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills to engage with a wide range of people and to give presentations to groups in relation to health, safety, and wellbeing.
- Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels to ensure that health, safety, and wellbeing is at the forefront of all day-to-day decision making.
