About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Hays Engineering. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for driving our health and safety agenda, ensuring compliance with all applicable legislation, and promoting a culture of safety and wellbeing throughout the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance on health and safety matters, ensuring that all employees are aware of their responsibilities and obligations.
  • Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring that they are aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement controls to mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement health and safety training programs, ensuring that all employees have the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their jobs safely.
  • Monitor and report on health and safety performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in health and safety leadership, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
  • NEBOSH qualification or equivalent, with a strong understanding of health and safety legislation and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to analyze complex information and present it in a clear and concise manner.
