Job Opportunity: Bookkeeper

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Bookkeeper to join our client's dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping and a passion for accuracy and attention to detail. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to contribute their expertise to a reputable firm and advance their career in the field of accounting.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality bookkeeping services, including preparation of VAT returns and involvement with wider services, dependent on the background and experience of the right professional.
  • Work on varied clients, across a mix of industries and turnovers, primarily sole traders, limited companies, and LLPs.
  • Carve a key, support role here to Managers and Directors with increasing responsibility, client contact, and development on offer.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a bookkeeping role, preferably within a similar professional services environment.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage, with a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, with the capability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach to work, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Relevant qualifications in accounting or bookkeeping would be advantageous but not essential.
Benefits:
  • Salary Circa £24,000 - £35,000 depending on experience and qualification status, negotiable. A highly competitive benefits package is also on offer.
  • 23 days annual leave + bank holidays.
  • Hybrid working.
