We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practitioner to join our team at Wharfedale Urgent Treatment Centre in Otley, Leeds. As an Advanced Practitioner, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.
About the RoleThe Advanced Practitioner will be responsible for assessing, diagnosing, treating, and referring patients with primary and urgent care needs. You will work independently, without direct supervision, and provide clinical mentorship and leadership to trainee and peer practitioners.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and referral of patients with primary and urgent care needs
- Provide clinical mentorship and leadership to trainee and peer practitioners
- Participate in audit, data collection, and activity monitoring to improve performance and inform future service developments
- Proactively report patient safety incidents and respond to quality team requests for information
- Contribute to the development, implementation, review, and evaluation of clinical protocols
- Develop own skills and competencies through education, training, and development activities
- Current registration with HCPC, NMC, or GPhC
- Experience of working in primary and urgent care
- Ability to pass pre-employment health assessment
- Evidence of continuing professional development and application to practice
- Understanding of training needs in relation to the post
