About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineering Team Leader to join our team at Marshalls PLC. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the maintenance engineering team to deliver high-quality maintenance services that ensure the reliability and efficiency of our manufacturing assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the maintenance engineering team to develop and implement maintenance strategies that improve asset utilization, reduce downtime, and increase overall equipment effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with the engineering manager to develop and implement production plans that meet quality, safety, and cost parameters.
  • Implement best practices in maintenance engineering to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our manufacturing assets.
  • Manage engineering systems, structures, resources, and processes to ensure effective maintenance planning and execution.
  • Assist with the engineering planning process to proactively manage and maintain manufacturing assets at site.
  • Involve in the engineering stores system to ensure critical spares availability, stock control management, and effective maintenance planning.
  • Involve in the delivery of engineering KPIs that complement manufacturing performance, manufacturing KPIs, and OGSM objectives.
  • Recognize best practices from within and outside the business and work with stakeholders to implement these across the business while supporting continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Coach and develop direct reports to ensure their full potential is realized.
  • Project management and deliver change initiatives.
  • Deputise for the Engineering Manager.

Requirements

  • Electrical and/or mechanical qualifications (time served apprenticeship).
  • 3+ years' experience of operating in a medium/large automated manufacturing operation.
  • Experience of leading an engineering team.
  • IOSH Managing Safely / NEBOSH General Certificate.
  • Experience of computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) and stock control systems.
  • Experience of working with engineering schedule KPIs.
  • Project management and leading/delivering change is desired.
  • Knowledge of OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) would be an advantage.
