About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Batch Release Manager to join our team at GlaxoSmithKline. As a key member of our Operational Quality team, you will be responsible for ensuring that products released for sale have been manufactured and packaged in accordance with cGMP and licensing requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide effective leadership of a Business Unit aligned Operational Quality team to ensure compliance with quality management systems and regulatory requirements.
  • Support and coach GMP, documentation errors, root cause analysis, and CAPA for deviations across the site.
  • Liaise with other QA groups to ensure that all aspects of testing and results verification have been completed before batch release.
  • Manage the Batch Documentation Review and Release operations to deliver customer service and production schedule requirements within budget control.
  • Lead the Batch Release team, including recruitment, selection, training, development, competency assessment, resource management, performance reviews, and employee reward and recognition.
Requirements
  • Graduate-level qualification in a scientific discipline.
  • Appropriate level of Quality or Pharmaceutical experience.
  • Knowledge and application of Quality Management System (QMS) principles.
  • Leadership qualities and understanding of people management requirements.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to influence direct reports, peer group, and senior management.
