The estimated salary for this position is £6.40 per hour for the first year, rising to at least minimum wage after 12 months.

Job Description

This role involves supporting children by providing care, play, and learning activities tailored to their individual needs and developmental stages. You will also be responsible for creating a safe and inclusive environment, communicating with parents, observing and assessing children, maintaining records, attending courses, completing tasks, working collaboratively with colleagues, and adhering to relevant policies and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications

">

To succeed in this role, you must be a UK resident or have a visa that supports your stay throughout the apprenticeship. You should hold GCSEs in English and maths at Grade C (4) or above, or be able to achieve Level 2 English and maths while on the programme. Key skills include strong communication, teamwork, creativity, initiative, and patience.

You will have access to an online platform (BUD) that facilitates learning, reflection, and portfolio building. One-to-one support and tuition from your apprenticeship tutor will be provided through regular visits and online meetings.

Progression Opportunities

Upon completion of this apprenticeship, you can progress to more senior roles within the Early Years sector, including the Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner apprenticeship and further training to reach Early Years Teacher Status.
