Maths Learning Support Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Subject Specialist Learning Support Assistant to join our team at EdEx – Education Recruitment. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about education and Maths.

The successful candidate will work closely with students in KS4 and KS5, providing tailored support to enhance their learning experience. With excellent communication skills and a vibrant personality, you will be able to make a positive impact on the lives of our students.

A high performing secondary school in Hounslow is looking to onboard academically gifted Maths graduates who can support learning in biology, chemistry, and physics. The school offers excellent induction for those new to the sector, training these candidates and even offering fully funded teacher training.

About the Role:
  • This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday.
  • You will be required to run interventions for Y10, Y11, Y12, and Y13 students in your subject specialism.
  • Encourage progress and record this with the class teacher.
  • Support learning in 1:1 and small group sessions.
  • Gaining valuable teaching insights.
  • Supporting students with and without SEN.
  • Aiding with classroom learning alongside a teacher.
About You:
  • Graduated with a 1st Class or 2:1 from a reputable university.
  • Strong academics at A-Level and GCSE.
  • A vibrant, enthusiastic personality is key.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Passionate about education.
