Job Title: Haematology - Locum Consultant

About the Role:

The clinical haematology team at Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust invites applications for a fixed-term locum consultant post with a focus on thrombosis. The haematology service is delivered by a team of experienced consultant haematologists, supported by skilled clinical nurse specialists, clinical fellows, and registrars.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a weekly thrombosis new patient clinic and two follow-up thrombosis clinics.
  • Develop a further weekly half-session clinic in an area of your own interest.
  • Attend the weekly thrombosis MDT.
  • Support the laboratory, primary care advice, and guidance.
  • Participate in the weekly morphology meeting and core medical trainee and specialist haematology trainee teaching programme.
  • Be a clinical supervisor for junior doctors and have the opportunity to be an educational supervisor.
  • Participate in the on-call rota.
