Procurement Strategist

Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Strategist to join our team at Thermo Fisher Scientific. As a key member of our purchasing department, you will play a crucial role in developing strategic relationships with suppliers and improving operational efficiency.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will have proven experience in strategic procurement, preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will work closely with our Senior Buyer to develop ideas and strategies to improve business performance and mitigate supply chain risk.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support the Senior Buyer in developing supplier agreements and resolving high-level issues
• Research and evaluate areas of opportunity to reduce costs and mitigate risk
• Improve overall procurement processes and work instructions
• Foster collaborative working relationships with colleagues across different departments
• Lead and support continuous improvement projects
• Provide support to the Material Planning team
• Create and maintain management information reports
