At Professional Beauty Systems, we are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to join our team and contribute to our growth and success. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in supplier management and cost optimisation.

The Role & Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of a Senior Buyer include the strategic sourcing of materials and services, managing procurement processes, and optimising cost without compromising on quality. This involves:

  • Developing and executing procurement strategies that align with company goals.
  • Negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers to secure advantageous terms.
  • Performing cost analyses and setting benchmarks for quality and cost.
  • Ensuring timely delivery of materials and services from vendors.
  • Conducting market research to stay updated on industry trends and new suppliers.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Managing inventory levels to optimise stock turnover and reduce holding costs.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Proven experience of 5+ years in a procurement or purchasing role, with at least 2+ years in a senior position handling complex procurement activities.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement and vendor management software.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft software.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or CIPS qualification is desirable.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Thursday, 8.30am – 5.00pm and Friday, 8.30am – 4.00pm.
