About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Head Grounds Person to join our team at CBS Arena. As a key member of our grounds maintenance team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stadium's professional playing pitch is maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Head Grounds Person in planning, implementing, and evaluating the maintenance and upkeep of the stadium's professional playing pitch.
  • Manage and maintain the grounds equipment, including machinery and tools.
  • Ensure the health and safety of staff and visitors by maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with the Head Grounds Person to develop and implement effective grounds maintenance strategies.
  • Monitor and report on the condition of the pitch, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
Requirements
  • NVQ level 3 or above in green keeping and groundsmanship or equivalent.
  • Experience in all aspects of grounds maintenance, including hybrid and artificial surfaces.
  • Knowledge of horticulture and gardens, as well as turf care equipment.
  • Competent IT skills and experience in managing pitch lighting systems and irrigation systems.
  • Ability to manage teams of operatives, plan and organize workloads, and monitor performance.
  • Full UK driving license required.
