Information Security and Data Protection Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Information Security and Privacy Manager to lead our security initiatives and safeguard sensitive data in a dynamic, regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities- Define and Implement Security Policies: Develop and implement information security policies and processes across the organization.
- Security Expertise: Serve as the subject matter expert in security and privacy, advising colleagues and senior stakeholders on security and compliance matters.
- Security Risk Assessments: Lead internal security risk assessments, security training programs, and oversee ISO27001 audits to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Incident Management: Manage security incidents and breaches, ensuring swift response and mitigation to minimize business impact.
- Compliance and Governance: Ensure ongoing compliance with GDPR and other relevant privacy regulations, performing Data Privacy Impact Assessments (DPIA) and Data Protection Audits as needed.
- Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with internal teams to align security and privacy measures with business needs, and communicate security and compliance requirements to stakeholders.
- Information Security and Privacy: Proven expertise in information security and privacy, with certifications such as CISSP, CISM, ISO27001 Lead Auditor, GDPR Practitioner, or equivalent.
- Compliance Frameworks: Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks (ISO27001, GDPR) and experience in IT security, with a focus on data protection and privacy.
- Data Protection Officer (DPO): Significant experience as a DPO, managing data privacy programs and ensuring GDPR compliance, with expertise in Data Privacy Impact Assessments (DPIAs), subject access requests, and data breaches.
- Privacy and Data Protection Legislation: In-depth understanding of privacy and data protection legislation, including GDPR, with the ability to monitor updates and drive organizational compliance.
- Experience and Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in assurance or managerial roles, with 4+ years in security and/or privacy roles, and demonstrable experience as a DPO or in a privacy-related role.
- Communication and Influencing Skills: Strong influencing skills, with experience engaging senior stakeholders and executives, and excellent communication skills to build trusted relationships across the organization.
- Risk Management and Commercial Acumen: Comprehensive understanding of risk management and commercial acumen to support procurement teams, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and drive progress.
