Warehouse Operative Role Overview

We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Warehouse Operative to join our team in Cullompton. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient handling of goods within our warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Loading and unloading caged and palletized goods from lorries.
  • Utilizing warehouse management systems and scanners to receive, locate, pick, and dispatch goods. This includes handling all caged goods with care and attention within a temperature-controlled environment.
  • Replenishing stock, consolidating inventory as needed, and assembling cages for orders to be safely stored in racking systems.
  • Assisting with general warehouse tasks such as wrapping and labeling pallets.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area and ensuring equipment is properly maintained.
  • Completing relevant paperwork accurately and reporting any defects or issues promptly.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience working in a warehouse environment.
  • Familiarity with computerized warehouse management systems (experience with Manhattan scale is advantageous).
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Proficiency in working both independently and as part of a team.
