About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Warehouse Operative to join our team at Gregory Distribution. As a key member of our warehouse team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manually loading and unloading caged and palletized goods from lorries.
  • Using the warehouse system & scanner to receive, locate goods into the racking, pick & dispatch whilst handling all caged goods with care and attention, working in a temperature chilled environment.
  • Replenishing and consolidation of stock when required and assembling cages for orders to be safely stacked in racking.
  • Assisting when required within the warehouse to include wrapping and labeling of pallets.
  • General housekeeping and upkeep of the warehousing area and equipment.
  • Completing any relevant paperwork in line with the warehouse processes to include reporting any defects.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Previous experience of working within a warehouse environment.
  • Experience with computerized warehouse management systems, Manhattan scale is advantageous.
  • Good communication and team working skills.
  • Attention to detail is essential.
  • Ability to work within a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
