The Role

We are seeking an ambitious and proactive Pension Actuarial Analyst to join our talented team. This outstanding opportunity allows you to work with a proven leader in the industry, where your expertise will contribute to flawlessly executed projects and services.

About the Position

As a Pension Actuarial Analyst, you will be responsible for acting as an actuarial and consulting assistant for a portfolio of clients. Your tasks will include handling the preparation of valuations and cost estimates, undertaking and supervising accounting disclosures (FRS17, IAS19, and USGAAP), coordinating data collection, and undertaking and checking all aspects of actuarial work associated with pension schemes. You will also be responsible for preparing letters, reports, and other client materials, assisting in developing administrative procedures and forms used by clients, checking day-to-day individual calculations, participating in internal projects, and assisting scheme consultants with the consultancy aspects of pension schemes. Additionally, you will establish strong working relationships with clients, prepare for and attend client meetings, provide leadership, feedback, and training to actuarial analysts, build up consulting knowledge on actuarial and non-actuarial aspects of pension plans, and maintain accurate time recording and charging to clients where applicable.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with substantial experience in the pensions actuarial environment, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to prioritize, coordinate, and complete tasks within specified timelines. You should have good numeracy and literacy skills, be proactive and a great teammate with a collaborative spirit, attention to detail to ensure flawless execution, and computer literacy with proficiency in relevant software. A good numerical/mathematics based degree and good progress through the actuarial exams are also required. Eligibility to work in the UK is essential.
