Heavy Goods Vehicle Sweeper Operator

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Sweeper Driver to join our team based in Barnsley. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for operating street sweeping vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate HGV sweeper vehicles to maintain the cleanliness of designated routes.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure vehicles are in good working condition.
- Navigate assigned routes while adhering to established schedules.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on sweeping equipment as needed.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding any issues or concerns.
About this role:
You will be required to work away from home, with accommodation provided in a paid hotel. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity with a competitive hourly rate of £14.00.
Requirements:- A valid UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
- A valid and in-date Digital Tachograph card.
- No more than three points on your driving licence.
- A minimum of two years proven experience driving HGV sweeper vehicles.
- A full understanding of Working Time Directive (WTD) legislation.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A safety-first mindset.
