Indirect Tax Compliance Role

Join our team as an Indirect Tax Compliance Specialist and support our centralised Insolvency Delivery Team in managing VAT compliance across our company administration, liquidation, and receivership cases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the insolvency VAT compliance calendar, ensuring timely submission of indirect tax returns.
  • Support case administrators on VAT-related matters, including VAT invoicing, tax points, and VAT return enquiries.
  • Liaise with HMRC on VAT return submission, option to tax, and pre-credibility checks.
  • Draft indirect tax comments for creditor progress reports and estimated outcome statements.
  • Develop and deliver VAT training and updates to the IDT case team.
  • Continually develop and improve the indirect tax process.
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to provide updates on case progression and assist with planning for new work.
  • Stay up-to-date with legislation and practical changes impacting VAT compliance.
Requirements
  • Strong UK VAT technical knowledge, including place of supply, time of supply, partial exemption, and compliance processes.
  • Experience in managing compliance in-house or managing a portfolio of clients/customers.
  • Strong communication, team playing, and project management skills.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Excel at an advanced level.
