Education Specialist

HMP & YOI Bronzefield, a maximum-security women's prison in Europe, requires an experienced Education Specialist to drive forward the quality of education provision. This role is critical in ensuring that prisoners have access to opportunities that equip them with essential skills for successful reintegration into the community.
Main Responsibilities- Develop and review educational materials: Create and refine syllabuses, resources, schemes of work, marking policies, assessments, and teaching strategies within the department.
- Oversee course provision: Manage the day-to-day operation of courses, ensuring effective deployment of staff and physical resources.
- Monitor learner progress: Analyse performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement targeted support.
- Stay informed about national developments: Stay up-to-date with subject area advancements, teaching practices, and methodologies, providing training to staff.
- Teach and cover lessons: Deliver English and maths to Level 2, including embedded English and maths, and cover lessons as required.
