Role Summary
The Talent Acquisition Research Specialist is essential in pinpointing, engaging, and securing vital talent for the organization. This role provides both tactical and strategic assistance to the recruitment team, ensuring an exceptional candidate experience.

Reporting to the manager, this position serves as a central liaison for Recruitment Leads and collaborates with Hiring Managers, Candidates, and various internal departments to cultivate talent pipelines and communities that align with the company's objectives.

A key responsibility of this role involves proactive sourcing for open positions, executing headhunting and pre-screening to identify exceptional candidates.

Additionally, the role focuses on constructing talent pipelines that correspond with the strategic goals of the organization and fostering talent communities to guarantee the business can acquire the necessary talent to fulfill its future ambitions.


Team Environment:

The Resourcing and Talent team is part of the People Group, tasked with the identification, attraction, and selection of key talent for the organization.

The Core Recruitment team handles hiring for fixed-term contracts, permanent positions, and contractor needs across all business sectors, including the Executive Board and the Board of Trustees.

This team operates in a dynamic environment where meticulous attention to detail is as crucial as the ability to identify emerging patterns and trends.

Close collaboration with other sectors of the People Group, such as Recruitment Marketing, HR Business Partnering, and People Operations, is vital.

The team adopts a hybrid working model, utilizing Workday as their Application Tracking System, along with Outlook and Teams for communication.


Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate closely with the recruitment team and Hiring Managers to comprehend immediate and long-term business needs. Build positive relationships with stakeholders across various business units and work cooperatively with People Group colleagues.

Develop and maintain a thorough database of potential candidates for current and future hiring needs, prioritizing critical business roles.

Create talent maps to proactively establish communities of skilled candidates to support workforce planning, focusing on specialization and location, while conducting comprehensive research to target organizations.

Conduct in-depth market research to identify potential candidates through diverse channels, including LinkedIn, external databases, social media, sourcing calls, and networking events to generate suitable candidates and build communities.

Continuously expand, update, and enhance existing candidate pools through proactive research into target firms and markets.

Build and sustain strong relationships with talent communities, keeping them informed and engaged through regular personalized communication, sharing relevant marketing materials, and other engagement activities.

Represent the organization's brand and act as an ambassador at all times to deliver a premier candidate experience.

Assist in the development and execution of innovative sourcing strategies to attract diverse talent, ensuring that equity, diversity, and inclusion targets are met.

Conduct pre-screening and assess candidates, crafting clear and meaningful candidate profiles that evaluate suitability against key criteria for specific roles.

Manage multiple recruitment processes simultaneously and effectively.
Provide regular updates and reports on sourcing activities and candidate pipeline status, identifying areas for improvement and potential risks.

Stay informed on industry trends, sector developments, competitor analysis, including top talent and company offerings/benefits, to provide insights and recommendations for effective recruitment strategies.

Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to recruitment and data privacy, including obtaining necessary consent for candidate engagement activities.

Maintain and update the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), ensuring data accuracy and integrity.

Proven experience in directly sourcing candidates using various attraction methods and strategic recruitment campaign experience.

Self-motivation, a positive attitude, and exceptional time management skills, with the ability to adapt activities to changing business requirements.

Familiarity with recruitment systems and a solid working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong organizational and time-management skills to balance multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
