Administrative Assistant - Payroll

We are seeking a skilled Administrative Assistant to support our Payroll Team at Northampton Business Directory. This role involves assisting with payroll processing, benefits management, and employee queries.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with payroll processing for all companies within the group, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Collate and process overtime and other payroll data each month.
  • Support annual pay reviews and handle starters, leavers, and pro-rata payments.
  • Assist with benefits payroll calculations, monthly reporting, and third-party payments.
  • Respond to employee queries on payroll, expenses, and benefits.
  • Keep employee records up to date and support HR and Finance as needed.

About the Role:

This role requires strong administrative skills and prior experience in payroll administration with knowledge of UK payroll processes and legislation. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word, is essential. Good general education, with English and Maths GCSE at Level 4/C or above, is also required. A competitive salary of up to £34,000 depending on experience is offered, along with a range of benefits including enhanced holiday entitlement, company sick pay, life insurance, and a cycle-to-work scheme.
