Seeking a Counsellor for Children and Young Adults

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Counsellor to provide emotional and therapeutic support to children and young adults aged 11 – 25, both 1:1 and sometimes in groups.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality counselling services to children and young adults, adhering to the BACP ethical framework of good practice in counselling and psychotherapy.
  • Develop and maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients to explore their thoughts and emotions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the provision of quality services to children and young adults.
  • Contribute to the development of new services and programs to meet the evolving needs of clients.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children and young adults in a counselling or therapeutic setting.
  • Strong understanding of the BACP ethical framework and good practice in counselling and psychotherapy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
