Catering Operations Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Catering Management professional to join our team at Mise en Place. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the catering operation at events and across onsite catering outlets, managing resources effectively to achieve financial targets, and working collaboratively with the operations team to provide catering solutions appropriate for the events programme, delivering an excellent customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the catering operation at events and across onsite catering outlets
  • Manage resources effectively to achieve financial targets
  • Work collaboratively with the operations team to provide catering solutions appropriate for the events programme, delivering an excellent customer experience
  • Support the development of the wider catering team by monitoring performance and providing feedback, identifying and arranging training opportunities
  • Liaise with clients and internal stakeholders throughout the planning stages of events to understand and scope bespoke catering requirements
  • Input into catering budgets and P&Ls, completing monthly financial reporting accurately and on time
  • Monitor stock and order retail drink & disposables stocks as required to meet operational demand, maintaining consistent service delivery
  • Observe external catering concessions and vendors to ensure compliance with statutory and legal requirements, including Health & Safety and Licensing
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in catering management, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. A salary of £40-45k per annum is offered, and the successful candidate will need to have the right to work in the UK and provide supporting documents.
