Catering Operations Manager

Apt Resources, a leading provider of catering services in the Airlines industry, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Catering Operations Manager to join their team in the GCC region. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for managing Catering Operations worldwide on a 24/7, year-round basis.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure timely departure of flights with agreed menus, stores, bars, and equipment, while maintaining safety and compliance.
- Track and measure caterer performance against agreed metrics, driving year-on-year performance improvements.
- Oversee the supply of catering services across the network, ensuring budget adherence and minimizing meal wastage.
- Lead, motivate, and challenge a network of 100+ suppliers to deliver catering services for cargo operations globally.
- Develop, monitor, and track detailed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with all suppliers, working with Procurement to implement and apply appropriate service credits to incentivize performance improvement.
- Develop and ensure the delivery of operational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for catering services.
- Create and implement a catering supplier performance award scheme with monthly results reporting.
- Track and report performance, develop improvement plans, and manage supplier activities to meet the expectations of Catering Services or Ground Services teams regarding menu development and compliance.
- Ensure robust management of health and safety (H&S) and security policies by all catering suppliers, taking prompt action to address any shortfalls to maintain compliance.
- Conduct detailed investigations into non-compliance issues identified by external parties (Flight Operations, Ground Operations, etc.).
- Ensure consistent delivery to agreed standards worldwide.
- Establish departmental objectives and priorities to align with and support business goals.
- Train and develop employees to ensure effective succession planning.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related business management field.
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in flight catering operations management.
- Experience managing detailed SLAs to drive performance improvement.
- In-depth knowledge of inflight catering operations in a large multinational airline.
- Strong command of English, both verbal and written.
- Managerial skills, including delegation, setting clear directions, managing workflow, mentoring, coaching, training, and fostering teamwork.
- Experience in the airline or flight catering industry.
- Food safety diploma.
