About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Deputy Senior Employment Advisor - Mental Health Specialist at Dorset Clinical Commissioning Group. As a key member of our employment team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals between 16-30 years old to gain employment and develop their skills.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide employment support and guidance to clients, helping them to develop their job search skills and create effective job applications.
  • Work closely with our partners, The Prince's Trust, to deliver employability services and support clients in achieving their employment goals.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local employers to identify job opportunities and promote our services.
  • Conduct assessments and create personalized employment plans to help clients achieve their goals.
  • Provide training and support to clients on interview skills, CV writing, and other employment-related topics.

Requirements

  • Recognized professional qualification in a mental health profession, such as Mental Health Nursing, Social Work, or Occupational Therapy.
  • Therapeutic experience working with mental health clients with challenging behavior.
  • Group skills and teaching skills to deliver training and support to clients.
  • Positive experience of supervision and reflective practice.
  • Demonstrable skills in written and spoken English, adequate to enable the post holder to carry out the role effectively.
  • Valid UK driver's license.

  • Mindfulness practice.
  • Research experience.
