Job Title: Residential Support Worker

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team in Sheffield. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing care and support to young people in a residential setting.

Job Summary:

The Residential Support Worker will be responsible for ensuring the safety, well-being, and holistic development of students. This includes assisting with personal care, managing challenging behaviors, and promoting independent living skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality care and support to students in a residential setting.
  • Assist with personal care and daily living tasks, promoting independence and dignity.
  • Manage challenging behaviors and develop strategies to promote positive behavior.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, ensuring compliance with safeguarding and child protection practices.
  • Work collaboratively with other staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive team environment.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all students, adhering to safeguarding and child protection policies.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with children or young people in a residential setting.
  • Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to policies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, staff, and families.
  • Ability to manage challenging behaviors and develop strategies to promote positive behavior.
  • Relevant qualifications in social care, education, or a related field are desirable.
