About the Role

MUFG Investor Services is seeking a highly skilled Senior Legal Specialist to join our global team. As a key member of our legal department, you will be responsible for reviewing and managing vendor contracts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage vendor contract matters from start to finish, including taking instructions, gathering information, determining the appropriate course of action, and reviewing and drafting legal documents.
  • Draft, work on, and negotiate vendor contracts, including software license agreements, subscription as a service agreements, service level agreements, and non-disclosure agreements.
  • Assist and advise vendor management and legal teams on opportunities for enhancements to vendor contract review processes and procedures.
  • Respond to legal queries from operational departments, internal control/support groups, client integration/client services teams, senior management, and entity boards, all with respect to applicable laws and regulatory matters affecting the business and its client services.
  • Advise the business on day-to-day legal and regulatory matters across all key jurisdictions of the business and assist the business with managing legal risk.
  • Attend to any other ad hoc duties or projects as required.
Requirements
  • Experience in an in-house legal role, ideally with a bank, fund manager, or fund service provider.
  • Strong knowledge of contract law and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
