Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our team in the ICP Civils division. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope.
The ideal candidate will have a strong civils utility background and will become a key member of our team, providing a focal point for all project activities while assisting in developing a business strategy and growth.
Key Responsibilities- Project Management of multiple projects, while supporting a wider team of Project Managers and Site Managers.
- Leadership and ownership of all works associated with the RA projects managed.
- Engagement with relevant RA teams in the delivery of pre-design, safety management, subcontractor evaluation & management, client engagement, and overall project management.
- Management of internal and external resources.
- Assistance in providing engineering solutions.
- Assistance in financial reporting, process management, and quality assurance to appropriate standards.
- Liaison with the Client's and Stakeholders on projects, providing excellent customer service to meet and exceed client expectations.
- Awareness of and promotion of Reach Active Group Limited Health and Safety policies and risk management.
- Responsibility for completing and issuing all required Site Documentation from the team on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, including JSSP, DWR, H&S documentation, KPI documentation, and Client/Project reports.
- Ensuring that all processes involved in the traceability of documentation are adhered to by the delivery team.
- Experience in the utility sector, with respect to site management and product and sector experience and site conditions, together with the law within the construction industry.
- Good customer service, good people skills, and excellent organisation skills.
- Key Competencies: Customer Service, Commercial Awareness, Organisation and Planning, Health and Safety, Risk Management.
- Essential: Experience of Managing Project Managers and overseeing Projects to a high Level, Experience and ability to provide accurate and comprehensive reports, Personal and Business focused motivation, Strong workload management skills, Strong programming ability, Knowledge and experience of permitting systems, Attention to detail in both physical works and Client Liaison, Experience of SEDs/Engineering solutions, Electrical Knowledge (Cable pulling/jointing/formworks), Understanding of G81 or DNO equivalent, Substation base installation experience, Appreciation of I/DNO equipment, Experience in managing contract conditions e.g. NEC/JCT, ICP Management (Civils), CSCS Professional Card (White) or Engineering Services Skill Card (Black), IT Literate, First Aid at Work (3 Day Qualification), Full UK Driving License.
- Desired: NRSWA (Supervisor), HNC/HND Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering degree or equivalent relevant industry qualification, City & Guilds Basic Electrical Theory, Temporary Works TWC trained, Lifting Operations Appointed Person (AP), Confined Spaces Appointed Person (AP), Confined Space Entry Certification, Cable Winch Operations Certification, Asbestos Awareness, Manual Handling.
