Job Title: Operations Manager ICP Substations

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our ICP Substations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing projects within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management of multiple projects, supporting a wider team of Project Managers and Site Managers
  • Leadership and ownership of all works associated with RA projects
  • Engagement with RA teams in the delivery of pre-design, safety management, subcontractor evaluation & management, client engagement, and overall project management
  • Managing internal and external resources
  • Assisting in providing engineering solutions
  • Assisting in financial reporting, process management, and quality assurance to appropriate standards
  • Liaising with Clients and Stakeholders on projects, providing excellent customer service to meet and exceed client expectations
  • Ensuring compliance with Reach Active Group Limited Health and Safety policies and risk management
  • Completing and issuing required Site Documentation, including JSSP, DWR, H&S documentation, KPI documentation, and Client/Project reports
Requirements:
  • Experience in the utility sector, with site management and product/sector experience and site conditions
  • Good customer service, people skills, and excellent organisation skills
  • Essential skills and qualifications include Installation of 11kV Switchgear, Commissioning of switchgear, Earth testing, Jointing appreciation, Substation access up to and including 132kV, Understanding of G81 or DNO equivalent, Substation base installation experience, Knowledge of DNO equipment, Experience in managing contract conditions, ICP Management, CSCS Professional Card, IT Literacy, First Aid at Work, and Full UK Driving License
  • Desirable skills and qualifications include NRSWA (Supervisor), HNC/HND Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering degree, City & Guilds Basic Electrical Theory, Lifting Operations Appointed Person, Confined Spaces Appointed Person, Confined Space Entry Certification, Cable Winch Operations Certification, Asbestos Awareness, and Manual Handling
